Brent Reinhard-Run to Work and Be Authentic

Spread the love

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to Conversations with Doc Martin, where we talk to extraordinary people doing extraordinary things. Today, I sit down with Brent Reinhard, Chief Marketing Officer for Chase Bank’s Business Banking Organization.

Who is Brent Reinhard?

Brent oversees the marketing and products specifically targeted to the small business population. In this role, he leads a diverse organization of marketing professionals who manage branding, advertising, product development and management client communications, digital strategy, social media, and innovation efforts. Brent has been with Chase since 2003 and has held a variety of roles. He was named to The Advocate’s “40 Under 40” for his work with the LGBTQ+ community and was a driving force for change within J.P. Morgan Chase by championing Chase’s first ever advertising campaign targeted directly to the LGBTQ+ community.

The Conversation

In this interview, Brent discusses his “run to work” mindset to being successful and his journey in corporate America as a gay man. Brent discusses with me how he feels that growth comes from failure and learning. We go on to talk about the incredible optimism he has seen during the pandemic in small business owners. I ask Brent what advice he would give young entrepreneurs, specifically in the LGBTQ+ community, and we discuss the process by which he lead the team responsible for Chase’s first ever ad marketed toward the LGBTQ+ community.
