Welcome to another edition of Conversations with Doc Martin, where we talk to extraordinary people doing extraordinary things. This week is certainly no exception. I am joined today by renowned actor, national recording artist, and start of The Phoenix Theater Company’s production of Camelot: James Gish!
James Gish grew up in a sports crazed town just outside of Phoenix, though it did not take long for him to realize that as much as he wanted to succeed at sports, it simply wasn’t in the cards. What was, however, was singing. Through pure chance, his friend heard him singing in the car one day after school and recommended he join choir. His mother echoed the sentiment, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Throughout the interview, James and I share stories, laughs, trials, and triumphs as we discuss everything from his early days playing the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera in high school, to his path to a career in music and theater, his time in Nashville as a recording artist, and everything along the way! I hope you enjoy this incredible ride as much as I did!
